Do You Use This Top Email Marketing Tip?
ByBefore I talk about some effective email marketing tips, what I would like you to do when you are next in your email box is to unsubscribe from quite alot of the marketers lists that you are on. In fact, you probably have forgotten why you signed up in the first place and probably don’t open most of the emails anyway.
But don’t unsubscribe from them all. I have reduced the emails that I allow to enter my in box to about a dozen online marketers. Why? It is not really to take the action that they recommend such as buying something or signing up to another list…but to study their method of writing and marketing. I have learned a lot, and you will too. So what have I found in these emails?
- Make a powerful statement: the key here is once the email is opened then the reader’s attention has to be grabbed and kept. There is a short timescale window in which to do this so a big powerful statement is ideal to grab and keep their initial attention.
- Provide an example or evidence: if you are offering valuable information or recommending something then the reader will be more ready to do what you want if they see something that will back up what you are saying.
- Highlight the benefits: never features only benefits as this will then have the reader think about how it can help them progress and what the likley outcome can be.
- Ask a question: how about asking an intriguing question that will get the reader thinking and then commenting on what the answer or answers could be and how the reader could then benefit from this? Asking a question will stimulate their thought and get the brain cells working, perhaps to envisage a desirable outcome.
So a couple of things for you to do is unsubscribe from email lists that are no interest to you and stay on those where you can learn from the marketing methods. Then try and see if you can adopt such methods into your marketing. And how about introducing some of the methods that I have highlighted above?
